WORSE THAN HOSPITAL CAFETERIA

CHEAP STOCK FLAWOUR ALLOVER,JAIL ATMOSPHERE AND AGED DECORATION; A RESTAURANT IN THE CENTRE OF OTTAWA SHOULD HAVE A BETTER MANAGEMENT; YOU CAN TELL THAT EVERY ONE THERE: ARE UNDER PAID AND NOT HAPPY OF THEIR JOB.

I went there with a friend/co-worker expecting a...

I went there with a friend/co-worker expecting a little more elegance in terms of ambiance. I was greeted at the host/hostess stand and seated immediatly by the window- I didn't even have to ask. Our server seemed a little anoyed or inconvinienced however was helpful when asked. The food was great not amazing but than again I have been told I am a little choosy. None the less we received our bill before we were asked for dessert which we decided not to have - maybe that was a good idea because we were both full. Know this isn't really in my nature; but with the food I had this place obviously has potential. My reccomendation is to step it up with the service add some more interesting decor and man this could really be a great restaurant for us business folk in the area to go to.

Of course, it was the eleventh hour when I called and tried to make an evening reservation on Valentine’s Day. And, of course, like everyone else they were completely booked but they did call me back and I was so happy that they could squeeze us in. We enjoyed the best meal we could have hoped for. The house red (forget the varietal) was so perfectly pared with the shrimp appetizer, Gamberi Di Amaretto. And the chardonnay was lovely with the escargots. Our entrees were equally delicious and in spite of the fact that it was a very busy evening for Napoli’s, the food arrived at our table fresh and hot and the service was perfect. Water glasses were always topped up and we were never left unattended for long. The servers were very friendly and approachable and it all made for a fantastic dining experience. We also didn’t feel over-crowded in this ‘full-to-capacity’ restaurant. Our table provided plenty of elbow room and the table conversation was easy to hear in spite of people. We were very comfortable and happy to be enjoying the wonderful atmosphere. We can’t wait to have dinner at Napoli’s again. Read more
