This location has been in Welland "forever" Vicky ran this business with her husband forever. Has 2 beautiful successful twin boys. Marriage issues caused a divorce and Vicky has held onto this restaurant, and works very hard at making this beef and pork only establishment and success. She does a great lunchtime business, but I have always been a night time customer. every Thurs Night every week for a long long time. The meal is Excellent and prices very reasonable. Its is a simple establishment, its either pork or beef with fires, straight cut or curly. If you have never been you are missing out on one of the BEST beef dinners you will ever taste. She comes in early and cooks her meat on a spit in the building, behind a glass enclosure. She is obviously doing well as she takes holidays to Europe often. To visit grandchildren.. How do I know All this. I've been a customer probably 20 years and have a very good repoire with her and staff. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. I have lived in Welland for over 30 years and have never eaten here until they mentioned "Buffalo Chicken Burger" on their advertising sign out front. So we decided to stop in and try it, I must say, it is a great burger and possibly the best in the entire Niagara Region, it is reasonably priced with perfect golden fries but no one else makes a Buffalo Chicken Burger like Cheers does. This place was unbelievable. The wine selection is huge, and the food is to die for. The views of the falls are unmatched. The appetizer was SO delicious and the main course was even better. I ordered the salmon, and it was cooked to perfection. I can't think of another way to describe this place, other than perfect. The server was attentive (except the water boy was slow), and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Our bill for the two of us was $280 so it is a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it if you are visiting the Niagara region. I'm not a very big fan of seafood, but I was won over by the incessant advertisements for Lobsterfest. Gotta say it was the best dining decision made in a long time. This location was opulently decorated with wood interiors and it mainly had booth seating. After walking past a decorative stack of firewood outside, I was pleased to see a real fireplace inside. After ordering entrees we were surprised to also get salads, potato sides, and these delicious little warm biscuits. The Lobster Trio was fantastic. The tail was meaty and came with plenty of butter, though it was unsalted butter and I had to add salt from the shaker to taste. Garlic shrimp were exceptional. The most remarkable treat was the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese that rounded out the trio. It was so rich and flavourul that I could not finish mine even though by every gastric impulse I had wanted to. Soda pop has to be remarked on, it was rich and sweet the way fountain pop should be. Sheldon was our server, and he did an amazing job. All other staff were friendly and courteous as well, which made it a beyond perfect atmosphere. Read more
