I’ve been to Dog and Bear many times. It’s a traditional British style pub. It’s laid back and chill, not a place for an event but definitely a place to hang out with the friends and grab some pints. Football(soccer) lovers as owners the screens always have good matches on during the season. I love this spot, for some good drinks and a chat whether I'm on my own or with friends. One of my favourite things about this spot is that they have a variety of foods of different nationalities which is rare to see! I've been loving the new management as well and the changes they've made from the renovations to the changes in the menu. As a vegetarian I appreciate having multiple options to choose from and my favourite at Wylie's is Green Mango Tofu and Olive oil based vege pasta. Read more

The service by the wait staff is excellent. The manager and the owner are both excellent people who are the right fit for this establishment. This is a neighbourhood 'pub' where the patrons and the staff are accomodating, friendly and there is a family feel to the pub. My spouse and I are regulars there now and have enjoyed many meals prepared by their cooks. The meals range from appetizers to their many entrees: toasted western sandwich to the sirloin steak done to perfection. Whatever they prepare is done very well. Only once have I had a complaint but there was a new cook on staff. Things are great now. Try this pub out for a meal and a couple of drinks, you will not be disappointed. Have a game of pool or darts while listening to your favourite music on the techically advanced "juke box". It's not the same anymore. "Come on in to a place where everybody knows your name." Cheers! The wings are second to none, and you can't beat the price. The service is fantastic, regardless of which girl you get. They're all friendly and efficient. My wife gets the club wrap just about every time, though we've had most things on their menu. The menu may be limited, but it's a PUB, not a restaurant. If there's one thing I wouldn't recommend, I'd say the onion rings. That said, they still seem to be a hit...just not a fan of the batter. Other than that, have at it! Read more

We've been to the Granite Brewery a number of times as the food is always fantastic with generous portions. In addition to the delicious food, they have a good selection of their own brews. We especially enjoyed their Ringwood, a delightful blonde. There are different atmospheres for different tastes, but at the Granite Brewery they have several to choose from. Two excellent patios, a bar, and a family restaurant area, all designed for comfort. The rear patio looks particularly amazing, but as it was raining, we'll just have to wait until next time to try it out. It should also be noted that the Granite Brewery has free parking with easy access. The Granite Brewery gets our highest recommendation and we will be back soon. Read more
