Matt and Jag can be very helpful, they will usually try to cut you a deal if it is possible. I really enjoy going to a mechanic that I can trust and who explains things simply to me. I would highly recommend coming here if you feel your mechanic is scamming you. I have been scammed by mechanics who are also family friends. It is very hard to find a good place to take your car. OH YEAH Ocean Park also has a wonderful coffee machine if you have to wait around!

Highly recommend. Expert diagnosis. We came in thinking we needed a new transmission or atleast major work done to it because it was kicking very hard on the downshift 2-1 on our 2004 jaguar (6hp26 transmission). He roadtested our vehicle and said not to spend any money on it right now and it should be fine for another few years. He said spending money on changing fluid or any other service would not help, and it is from some internal wear.Extremely honest and didnt even charge or upsell.

these guys know what they're doing. I left my Volvo SUV with malfunctioning tranny and they fixed it in three days.
they even stood up for my when Global Warranty didn't want to pay for repairs first but agreed to pay after shop explained to them what happened to the tranny.

Bobs Driveline has installed engines, rebuilt drivetrains and dealt with electrical problems I have had. It has been at least 10 years and still my preferred shop for major ticket repairs. Went in because multiple mechanics were recommending I go see a transmission specialist. For two years this tranny was slipping and stalling at stop signs, mechanic said I needed a new transmission from donor truck. Went into Benz, they spent a day analyzing the problem, checking leaks and stalling issues, as well as tough cold starts. Topped up fluids and flushed it, found the level ridiculously low. So mechanics all tried to get me to replace a tranny, that just saved me $5000, bill was $67.
