Even if you are not into sushi, it is worth a trip to Kakemono! My boyfriend LOVES sushi and although I don't mind it, it is not my favourite meal in the world. However, I love Teriyaki and the Teriyaki dishes on Kakemono's all you can eat menu are wonderful. The prices are reasonable when compared to the price you may for most all-you-can-eat places and the food was great. We will be going back in the near future! Read more

The family favorite! We go to the Ajax location mostly. Fantastic food. We never order the all-you-can-eat as the lunch 2 roll special is so big, you can hardly get through it, plus it's so reasonable at $6.95. We eat there once a week and order in often. We avoid ordering in any hot food as it always arrives stone cold. You just can't re-warm dumplings. Even the raw fish haters in the family find something delicious on the menu. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Service is fast and friendly. The only down side is, my husband always talks in a Japanese accent when we go....and does the same at any ethnic restaurant that we visit. He can't seem to help himself....it's very embarrassing. The 3 main employees/manager there take pride in their customer service, freshness of their food products as well as cleanliness of their establishment. There are a lot of regulars who frequent this spot specifically for the employees who work there. They know the regulars names and what they order and they always have a smile on their face while working. It is a nice change to get that type of service at a more "fast food" takeout place and lastly they are very fast and efficient as they understand that most of their clientele are on their lunch time and need to get in and out quick. I've been coming to Massey's for a long time. Lunches, dinners. The food has always been fresh, and tasty. The servers have always been nice and courteous. The portions are ridiculously large. Pastas, it's two meals. Steak on a kaiser, top with some A1 steak sauce, you're biting into some deliciousness. Their menu specials are usually really good. Just really a nice place to go eat at, at a price range that won't break the bank. Others have complained that they are busy. There's a reason for that. Cause the food is good! Read more

I moved from Unionville to Newmarket two years ago. I still make a monthly pilgrimage to Mr Fish and Chips because I haven't found anything remotely comparable from here to Vaughan. The fish batter is light and flaky. Their chips are good, but the potato fritters (my personal favourite) are lip-smacking goodness. The eat-in area is pretty basic.
