haven't been to the Mekong in a while, but decided to try it again the other night, service was very good, our waitress was very attentive and our orders ariived in a timely manner. We ordered a couple of appetizer, they wer ok, nothing special. If you only have a one hour lunch then this is definitely NOT the place for you to eat at that time. We arrived and it was busy. The place seems cramped but it appearred to be clean. We had reserved a table for noon and waited a while to get seated. When the waitress finally made it to our table we ordered drinks and our food at the same time. It took a long time just to get our drinks and a very long time for our food. It ended up being an hour and a half lunch. Most other restaurants in the area offer a quick lunch so people can get back to work in a timely fashion. This is where The Wood falls drastically short. The food was good, this I will not dispute. By burger was juicy and cooked perfectly and the salad with balsamic dressing was fresh and nice also. Unfortunately the speed of service will have to keep me away from this restaurant. Read more

Nice touches on their meals. Portions are not over sized, which is good if you don't want to overeat! I've had veal parmigiane (sp?) and the salmon with some unique sauce. The vegetables have been spectacular both times and like I said before, the presentation is pleasing. The house wine (by the glass) is decently priced and quite good. It is a bit pricey though. I would only go back for a very special occasion with my husband. It is a very romantic atmosphere. I am looking forward to going again. Read more
